Health Research, Inc. Data Administrator III in Albany, New York
Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field and one year of experience in data quality control, data quality improvement and data collection; OR an Associates degree in a related field and three years of such experience; OR five years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
Experience in working with hospitals and providers in a public health capacity. Experience in data management or analysis. Experience with statistical and/or data visualization software (e.g. R, SAS, Tableau). Experience in program planning and outcome evaluation. Experience in writing or contributing to reports, presentations, or peer-reviewed publications.
The Newborn Screening Program (NBSP) tests newborns for 50 congenital diseases. If these diseases are identified at birth, health outcomes are improved by early detection and treatment. The Data Administrator III will work with the IMD Specialty Care Centers to strengthen Long-term Follow-up (LTFU) data collection by clinical specialists from consented individuals. The incumbent will assist in developing and managing de-identified and aggregated data reporting in a REDCap based Longitudinal Pediatric Data Repository (LPDR). The Data Administrator III will also assist in developing LPDR user instruction and provide user trainings to the clinical staff; conduct crosswalks between LPDR and newborn screening database to elicit key data fields; assist in data exchange between LPDR and LTFU module in newborn screening database; and perform other appropriate related duties.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
