Health Research, Inc. Program Coordinator I in Albany, New York
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in program coordination; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience in program coordination in a public health, health or human services related program.
The incumbent in this position will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
Experience with personnel activities, including but not limited to recruitments; administrative functions that support staffing needs, including purchasing, travel, and logistical support; personnel policies, procedures and/or the development of employee performance plans and the evaluation process; handling confidential information; creating and managing tracking systems; staff development including assessment of needs, identification and implementation of training including in-person, webinar and other venues; using MS Teams and/or SharePoint.
The Program Coordinator I will coordinate CDC COVID-19 Health Disparities Program personnel activities for CCH, including CDC COVID-19 Health Disparities Program recruitments in accordance with HRI and DOH policies, procedures and requirements and in accordance with approved budget plans and narratives; coordinate CDC COVID-19 Health Disparities Program staff development activities; coordinate special projects and represent the CDC COVID-19 Health Disparities Program; provide oversight for the purchase of goods and services and travel. The incumbent may be required to supervise staff.
The “National Initiative to Address COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities” grant provides funding to address COVID-19 and advance health equity (e.g., through strategies, interventions, and services that consider systemic barriers and potentially discriminatory practices that have put certain groups at higher risk for diseases like COVID-19) in racial and ethnic minority groups and rural populations within state, local, US territorial, and freely associated state health jurisdictions.
Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
