CTG is seeking to fill aScanning Electron Microscope Technicianopening for our Fortune 100 client inAlbany, New York.
Project Location:Albany, NY
Pay Range: Based on experience
Our client is currently seeking a technician to work in the physical characterization and failure analysis (FA) lab. Technician will work with the lead engineer to perform physical characterization of advanced semiconductor technology development wafers. Need to independently operate optical microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM), focus ion beam (FIB), some polishing and chemical highlighting technique in fume hood.
This job requires candidate to work on alternate week shift. Week 1 (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat – 7am to 7pm each day); Week 2 (Sun, Wed, Thu – 7am to 7pm each day). Night shift 7pm to 7am on the same days is also available.
Follow instructions from lead engineers and job requesters
Operate SEM, FIB, optical microscope, and polishing wheel
Basic understanding of semiconductor fab environment
Maintain lab, sorting and store wafers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, Microsoft office
Strong comprehension of 3D structure and its 2D cross-section
Steady hands to handle small objects
Basic understanding of chemistry and physics
Prior experience in semiconductor industry. (1+ years)
Understanding of basic integrated circuit. (1+ years)
Operation of SEM/FIB/optical microscope (1+ years)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
