Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg Float

The Float Pool at St. Joseph Hospital provides the opportunity for experienced nurses (RN) to work throughout our hospital in a variety of units.
Our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN will:
Be responsible for floating between the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry departments
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Medical-Surgical/ Telemetry patient population
Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
What you’ll bring:
Passion for Medical-Surgical Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population
3+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience required
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
Will consider candidates enrolled in an accredited BSN program
Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Other requirements: Must be computer literate. Must be able to read and write basic English.
