Technician - Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Services with Ascension Lourdes in Binghamton, New York

This is a full-time and rotating shift position. The ideal candidate must be flexible and dedicated to work a rotating schedule which includes the following working schedule: 5am - 130p, 6am - 230p, 7am - 330pm, 8am - 430pm, 1pm - 930pm & 230pm - 11pm; rotating weekends and holidays. You will be required to obtain the national pharmacy technician certification within 6 months of employment.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Lourdes, you will have the opportunity to provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.

Responsibilities:

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.

  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.

  • Repackages bulk medications.

  • Receives and stores incoming supplies.

  • Serves as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcare Association.

Education & Work Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

  • If not currently a Certified Pharmacy Technician they must obtain the national pharmacy technician certification within 6 months of employment.
