SUMMARY Assemble a variety of sub-assemblies and bench or floor erection to complete unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Ability to handle light and average weight parts.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to select assembly method and erection procedure.
Ability to accurately align sub-assemblies to unit.
Ability to mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment.
Ability to assemble a variety of products.
Ability to fit parts to close tolerances.
Ability to pack parts/equipment.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Must understand Kanban
Use Kanban cards to reorder parts
Ability to listen and learn from instructions, cooperate and participate in the department's training program
Ability to climb step ladder
Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities
Ability to participate in 6S
Good verbal and written communication skills
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Physical Awareness: Ability to work in an environment with active fork trucks.
Ability to lift arms/hands over one's head
Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp and assemble objects.
Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Near Vision: The ability to see details (and colors) at close range
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
Ability to move up to 2,000 lbs of equipment using pallet jacks, dollies, and overhead cranes.
Ability to assemble objects in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
Ability to follow standardized processes.
Ability to work safely
