Responsibilities:

  • • Gather and weigh raw materials based on specific amounts in preset formulas

• Put appropriate materials in mixing tank

• Mix to desired consistency as determined by formula

• Job requires constant heavy lifting, bending and stooping

• Performs safety and housekeeping aspects of the job by following all safety rules, wearing required safety equipment, cleaning up work areas during and at completion, maintaining all work stations in an orderly and clean fashion.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

General Skills:

  • Basic reading and math skills

  • Accurately and legibly fill out batch sheets

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent attendance

  • Skill in basic arithmetic.

  • Ability to effectively communicate (read and interpret) in English

  • Position requires: materials handling, stock control and packaging. Experience with motorized industrial trucks may be required.

Work Environment:

  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.

  • Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 70 pounds and prolonged standing and walking.

  • Must be capable of manipulating arms, wrists, hands and fingers to retrieve small objects and to use packing equipment.

  • Extensive stooping and bending

  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
