Etsy Technical Program Manager (MarTech / Search Platform) in Brooklyn, New York
Etsy is looking for two experienced Technical Program Managers! One with a strong background in Marketing Technology and the other with a strong background in Search Technology. While the TPM role is the same for both teams, the domain of expertise is different.
Please Note: Both of these are contract positions with a future possibility to convert to full time.

Ensuring teams have and execute against well-organized, clearly communicated, actionable plans
Helping teams establish, iterate, and reflect on their process
Furthering the practice of TPM at Etsy and industry-wide
For the MarTech TPM:
As the MarTech landscape evolves, we aim to provide our marketers the best-in-class tools to make marketing more efficient so that we can focus on what matters most, our customers. We are enabling capabilities and the right set of tools across customer data infrastructure, marketing automation, content and data integration platforms. This TPM will help drive the MarTech team in successful delivery of these tools.
For the Search Platform TPM:
As Etsy continues to focus on improving search and discovery experience for its buyers, we are looking for someone to play a key role in Help-Me-Find organization to build best-in-class developer experience for our product engineering and data science teams. Specifically, this TPM will provide support for Search Platform teams to build robust offline evaluation tooling for Etsy’s search systems and work with engineering, data science and experimentation sciences teams to drive adoption.

About the Role
TPMs at Etsy are skilled thought leaders who use their expertise in a variety of ways, depending on the needs of the teams they support.
Project Management: Take initiative on implementing solutions to moderately complex, loosely scoped problems. Successfully engage with engineers, managers, external representatives, and/or other partners to plan, track progress, and remove roadblocks.
Program Management: Lead efforts to identify and manage intricate dependencies, mitigate risks and issues, and build clear lines of communication across teams. Ensure the organization has a consistent and clear voice around goals, priorities, progress, and accomplishments.
Process Improvement: Actively promote and enable consistent engineering processes and Agile practices, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and self reflection. This may include temporary or occasional facilitation of Agile team ceremonies.
Strategic Planning and Operations: Organize and coordinate the team’s planning and goal setting processes, enabling the organization to meet the company wide guidelines and timelines
Advancement of TPM Practices: Enthusiastically add to and promote our TPM Community of Practice where we share insights, tools, templates, and lessons learned
You have 5+ years of proven success in technical project management, at least 3 of which includes hands on experience as part of Scrum or Kanban software development team
You are a continuous learner, digging deeper to understand root causes, adapting easily to a continuously evolving environment, while regularly validating that your work aligns to the company’s priorities
You take initiative and practice Servant Leadership, accepting responsibility without presuming authority, and leading with confidence, transparency, and humility
You establish an optimistic and collaborative culture, value diversity, and promote an inclusive and blameless environment where everyone can do meaningful work
You are an expert communicator with demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to quickly distill core issues into succinct and tailored messages for audiences across all management levels
You are technically knowledgeable, have a strong understanding of and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
For MarTech: Preferred experience with implementing Marketing Tools such as a CRM
For Search: Preferably have some software engineering background
