Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Cicero, New York
Aerotek is currently hiring on behalf of a leading bottling manufacturer in Syracuse, NY for a qualified Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to help support and maintain various equipment and machinery!
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to keep the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered. The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of service and repair tasks around the facility, which includes but is not limited to:
Install and maintain air compressors, plant air circulation systems, cooling and heating units, and plant lighting
Perform preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems, production equipment, and the facility as required
Troubleshoot, repair, install, erect, move, and/or dismantle all types of machinery and auxiliary production equipment
Inspect job site and equipment to be dismantled, erected, or moved, analyzing blueprints and schematics, and estimating weight of loads to be handled, lifted, cleared, etc.
Fabricate sheet metal and structural units as needed: guarding, steps, stairs, conveyors, elevators, platforms, etc. and set in place
Perform various manual or mechanical production functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing the production equipment to meet customer satisfactions
Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild production equipment
Conduct inspection of in-process materials and in-process/finished product
Determine all supplies and tools needed for each assignment
Capability of using all industrial shot and millwright equipment effectively and be able to fabricate precision parts
Familiarity with production equipment's electronic components and have sound knowledge of basic line control equipment
Ability to weld most common materials such that the end result is effective and presentable
Understanding and ability to use basic test equipment such as volt/ohm meters, amp meters, voltage tester micrometers, etc.
Skills & Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED
3+ years' experience in electromechanical maintenance
Working knowledge of the following areas: Nomenclature of all assigned equipment, mechanical devices, transmission systems, interface units, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams/schematics, computers, inspection and digital devices, and the operating principles of all assigned equipment
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Ability to use electronic test equipment
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to operate and functionally use a computer
Ability to work in multiple departments
PLC troubleshooting experience is a PLUS!
2nd shift - 2:15pm-10:45pm Monday-Friday
3rd shift - 9:30pm-6am Sunday-Thursday
- Starting at $29.10/hr. based on experience
