The Assistant Registrar is a key member of the Registrar's Office working on projects and maintaining records in conjunction with our Admissions Office, Student Financial Services Office, faculty/staff, and with other administrative offices within the campus community. This office provides services to a diverse student population and their families, who are enrolled in a varied set of online, off-site, and in person courses/programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Degree Works Administrator including Transit, Surecode and Scribe setup and support for Transfer Finder, as well as waiver and substitution processing
College Catalog/Acalog Administrator
Degree Works updates/additions per approved curriculum changes
In-service training for faculty/staff
Student Service/Faculty Service
Final Exam Schedule
Registrar's Office procedural documentation and production calendar
Transfer Credit: Evaluation/Articulation/Posting support
Expectations include extensive and detailed involvement in the management and maintenance of the degree evaluation software Degree Works, processing of all program waivers and substitutions, troubleshooting all issues, and keeping the system up to date with all approved curriculum changes. Remain current with the functionality of Acalog (the college catalog management system), overseeing the maintenance within Acalog of course descriptions and student learning outcomes as well as program information and general information, and preparing the catalog for yearly rollover. Develop, schedule, and implement in-service faculty/staff training in student records content. Field inquiries from students, faculty, staff and alumni related to student records requests/problems. Develop the final week of classes schedule. Create documentation for Registrar's Office processes. Provide back up support for the evaluation and posting of transfer credit and serve as the main processor for BSN/nursing transfer credit.
This position requires an understanding of developmental approaches to student information systems, independent decision making capability, and an ability to evaluate and maximize efficiencies within the Student Records Module in Banner as well as in other technologies used to support the work within the Registrar's Office. This position also requires comprehension and application of established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
Strong computer skills including complex data analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience with a student information system or collegiate student systems (Ellucian Banner, Datatel, PeopleSoft)
1-3 years experience in Higher Education
Preferred Qualifications (Experience and Educational)::
2-4 years experience in Higher Education
Experience with Degree Works coding/management (or similar degree audit systems)
Experience with Acalog College Catalog management (or similar online college catalog systems)

This is a full-time, 12-month position
