Army Installation Management Command Laborer (Banquet) NA-04 in Fort Drum, New York
Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Community Recreation, Business Operations and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Sets up banquet areas, private parties and outside facilities for formal dinner shows, luaus, meetings, conferences, weddings, etc. involving the physical assembly movement and arrangement of furniture and equipment. Sets up stages, dance floors, pianos, runways; assembling required items, and arranging the areas. Restores rooms or areas; removes, transports and stores property and equipment. Operates a complex electric ground cart for movement of food, supplies and equipment. Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases and detailed procedures following drawings, specifications while utilizing knowledge of project requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: Ability to remember, and follow directions that involve several steps, phases, or detailed procedures. Ability to use hand tools to assemble items (e.g., hammer, screwdriver, drill, etc...). Ability to operate an electric ground cart in order to transport food, supplies, and/or equipment. Physically able to lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds. Ability to complete tasks that require very heavy physical effort (e.g., physical assembly, movement, and arrangement of furniture, equipment, stages, dances floors, runways, etc.). A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5 percent for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work falls between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10 percent of the scheduled rate if most non-overtime work hours occur between 2300 and 0800. Night shift differential will be paid for all regularly scheduled (including regularly scheduled flexible employees) work.
