Order#: NY1368047 YOUR ROLE Follows all LO/TO and plant safety procedures. Correctly handles tooling to eliminate damage. Clean and set up grinders and blenders for all color changes. Perform mold set up correctly including head tooling and neck sizes. Following check list, set up sheet and router. Use a SMED approach for all mold set up Process machines to start them up and produce an acceptable part and make adjustments to bring part quality into specification. Conducts blow molding quality checks to ensure product integrity. Perform daily review of machine efficiency and check sheet to ensure bottles are being produced with the correct materials and exceed the minimum quality standards. Utilize technical knowledge to solve mechanical problems on blow molding equipment. Fill out set up sheet, mold change paperwork and monitor records on a consistent basis Repair, adjust, and maintain all blow molding equipment and auxiliary equipment to maximize productivity and meet all quality standards EDUCATION/YOUR SKILLS HS diploma or equivalent required or a minimum of 6 months relatable manufacturing experience, with 3-5 years of previous Blow Molding experience required. Ability to read blueprints required. Must have good mechanical, math, and communication skills and display initiative. Prefer some electrical knowledge. Must be able to work any shift. Must provide own tools. This position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas where under certain conditions the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and hygienic precautions, such as hairnets, are required. The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time. Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds & occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Cannot have any lifting, bending or stooping restrictions. Job performance must not be affected by color blindness. Physical Requirements: The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Must be able to reach, lift, bend, and stoop without restrictions. Good manual dexterity needed. Working Conditions: The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas where under certain conditions the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and hygienic precautions, such as hairnets, are required. The work environment is not climate controlled. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Regular attendance is required. Overtime may be required.
