Job Responsibility

  1. *Receives census from Manager to fill carts; fills carts twice daily and ensures carts are properly stocked for following day.

  2. *Distributes clean linen to units and respective areas.

  3. *Takes linen inventory and monitors issuance of linen. Reports to Manager on results.

  4. *Opens new linen boxes, stacks on shelves and removes all wrappings from linen room.

  5. *Answers phone and follows through on linen requests.

  6. Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Minimum one (1) year of responsible related work experience to ensure familiarity with technical aspects of Linen Department in a hospital environment or comparable prior relevant experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and knowledge of basic mathematics.
