Adecco Staffing Construction Dispatcher in Green Island, New York

Adecco is assisting a client in the Green Island /Troy NY area in staffing for a Dispatcher and Project Coordinator this role will be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with a pay rate ranging from $15-$20, depending on experience. Apply now for instant consideration!

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, computer and phone skills, able to communicate provided instructions to crew and communicate clearly with staff regarding jobs and projects.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Construction Experience or have worked in a construction related field.

• Excellent Communication Skills.

• Word, Excel, E-mail, and database experience.

• Organizational Skills (Lots of things going on at one time).

• Self-Starter attitude (Look for ways to make things better, and help during down time).

• Confidence to instruct others (who may be older and more experience).

DAILY TASKS:

• Assist CEO and COO with special projects/tasks on daily basis.

• Must communicate with Foreman and Crew members effectively

• Order and prepare DOT permits for daily jobs.

• Work with database to schedule crews/equipment needed for job.

• Before job is scheduled confirm with customer what needs to be done at work site.

• After job is scheduled confirm (and document in database) with customer start time and work address.

• Make sure the right tools and equipment are sent to job site on time.

• Make sure crew loads rigging for the next day's job.

• Print maps for crew of next day's work locations.

• Print and assemble job packets for next day's work.

• Communicate with crews on daily basis regarding anything job related.

• Look 3 to 5 days ahead and prepare schedule accurately.

• Convey messages from crew to CEO/COO and staff members.

• Attend weekly team meeting to discuss issues/concerns as a team.

• Create "To Do list" for Crew Members when there is downtime.

• Help manage material being delivered and stored for customers.

• Enter new hire employee paperwork

• Enter requested crew vacation time in FCC

• Print and post the summary of all open work orders.
