Job Purpose

As a member of the US Ethics and Compliance Team, this role will:

  • Work directly with the staff of the US Ethics and Compliance team and report directly to the Director, US Ethics and Compliance

  • Assist with, support and manage the development, implementation and administration of key elements of the corporate Ethics and Compliance Program

  • Assist with Ethics Liaison Network activities, including onboarding and conducting regular update meetings with liaisons

  • Participate in confidential investigations into allegations of misconduct

  • Record allegations and inquiries to the US Ethics and Compliance Team in the case management system (GRC)

  • Follow-up tracking and reporting of training for the US Ethics and Compliance team (i.e. Code of Ethics training)

  • Conduct ethics update and training presentations to employees and contractors

  • Maintain the Ethics and Compliance Grid:home pages

  • Create and disseminate key Ethics and Compliance communications appropriate for multiple audiences

  • Proactively identify and evaluate ethics and compliance trends, report on ethics metrics

  • Follow-up tracking of Certificate of Compliance and Disclosure completed by employees and follow up on disclosures when needed

  • Assist in benchmarking activities to measure program maturity, identify potential areas for improvement of the Ethics and Compliance program and implement program improvement recommendations

Key Accountabilities

  • Participate in investigations into allegations of employee misconduct

  • Respond to and document inquiries and allegations in the case management system (GRC)

  • Assist in preparation of reports of US Ethics and Compliance Team activities for US Ethics and Compliance Committee and Chief Risk Officer

  • To advise, train and otherwise elevate employee awareness of ethics and compliance

  • Conduct special projects as requested

  • Highly ethical, open, and honest, with a strong sense of objectivity/fairness

  • Exposure to large company environment

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (including public speaking)

  • Understanding of risk management and internal controls

  • Strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High degree of initiative/motivated/self starter

  • Team player/flexible

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products is required; proficient skills in the use of a variety of computer software including the proven ability to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases

  • Experience preparing PowerPoint presentations including those using metrics

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects of significant scope

  • Experience working in Legal or Ethics and Compliance field preferred

  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verify data and conduct independent complex analysis, and identify inconsistencies. Experience in supporting confidential internal investigations preferred

  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data and statistics, evaluate, produce complex reports and make recommendations based on independent complex analysis

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to the organization; including speaking to large groups
