Healthfirst Healthfirst Cares Program Director in Home Office, New York
The Director of Healthfirst Cares is responsible for ensuring the execution of the strategy, design, and operations for Healthfirst’s enterprise-wide clinical strategy. The Director will work with the SVP of Clinical Operations, VP of Clinical Business Management, and all other functional areas impacted by the strategy and operations: examples include Care Management, Utilization Management, Enterprise Delivery Solutions, Marketing, Technology and Digital partners, Member experience and member messaging owners, Network and provider partnerships, Medical Directors, Enterprise Analytics, Product owners, and more. The ability to collaborate and influence indirect leaders is essential to the role.
Work with leadership to establish sizing and sequencing of clinical program development priorities; continually assesses the health status of members and target populations with opportunity to impact for education
Work across constituents to design and deploy industry-leading interventions across the risk continuum, in alignment with Healthfirst’s mission of serving vulnerable populations, local New Yorkers, in alignment with members’ preferences and ethnic concordance
Establish and communicate current and long-range program goals and objectives and monitor results on an ongoing basis, adjusting plans and performance expectations to achieve targeted performance improvement results
Demonstrated experience in managing medical cost savings in range of $100M-$200M across several years
Develop, formulate, recommend and implement decisions regarding clinical strategies, interventions, and technology business requirements related to all Healthfirst Cares member impacting activities
Ensure business excellence practices are in support of all NY state and federal compliance, audit and regulatory requirements, as applicable
Develops an effective team through hiring, training, coaching and providing ongoing and constructive feedback
Communicates results to executive leadership using standardized reports, dashboards and frequent verbal updates through participation in management meetings and operational review processes
Stays current with technology, processes and best practices and leverage knowledge to identify opportunities for training and process improvement
Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
Strategic planning no less than annually to set milestones and objectives for departmental performance
Participates as needed in Healthfirst regulatory, professional and community activities
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution or equivalent work experience
Extensive experience with clinical program design processes and member engagement channels
Leadership experience in change management and organizational transformation
Clinical degree and/ or advanced degree from an accredited institution
Population health experience
Medicaid, Medicare, vulnerable populations clinical program experience
