Performs imaging exams in multiple modalities. Performs quality control checks. Maintains required documentation.

Job Responsibility

  • Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.

  • Prepares patients for examination.

  • Explains procedure and sets up equipment to administer exan in a timely fashion.

  • Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition completed by the Radiologist.

  • Performs specific imaging exam, ensuring quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.

  • Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist.

  • Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.

  • Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.

Job Qualification

  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.

  • Current License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

  • 1-3 years of technical experience, required.

  • Current License to practice as a Certified Radiology Contrast IV Injection practitioner in New York State required.

  • Current License to practice as a Certified Radiology Contrast IV Injection practitioner in New York State required.

The salary range for this position is $40.32-$52.34/hour
