Title: Fashion Assistant
Reports to: Style Director
Location: New York, NY
Create and manage monthly and seasonal shotlists to ensure accuracy.
Maintain specific daily shot counts regardless of additions, drops or changes to the shotlist.
Prep clothing for shoots by locating appropriate sizes based on model measurements, laundering clothing and sending product out of house and/or setting up the in-house photo studio.
Assist on set during on-figure photoshoots, including fittings and garment preparation.
Document all styled looks during selling shoots so styled looks contain style number and color code.
Pull and organize all samples based on debut month ensuring all available product is neatly displayed before styling begins.
Schedule pre-style walkthroughs, post-style styling reviews and final walkthroughs with merchants, stylists and company directors.
Obtain fit notes from merchants prior to photo shoots to ensure garments fit true to design during pre-shoot fittings.
Attend all walkthroughs to provide support and notate any changes to styled looks and/or product availability.
Create digital folders for the photography tech for image archival during all on figure photo shoots.
Hire and/or release freelance support as needed.
Oversee and manage freelance assistants to ensure maximized productivity.
Determine the number of days necessary to shoot each season based on debut month and shot type, then meet with production to provide numbers to be presented to finance.
Pull images and provide image paths for merchants and web team members.
Keep styling cage organized and clean at all times.
Assist and help editorial/features when help is needed.
Submit monthly expenses for any corporate expenses.
Requirements & Skills:
BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job
Detail oriented and able to multitask within a team setting
Strong sense of urgency
