Federal Acquisition Service Lead Supply Management Specialist in New York, New York
As a Lead Supply Management Specialist,you will serve as a liaison, point of contact (for supply service) between the Northeast Supply Acquisition Center and customer agencies on a local, national and international basis.
This position is located in the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Supply Chain Management Division located in New York, NY.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
As the Lead Supply Management Specialist, establishes priorities and target dates for completion of work; ensures adequate workload distribution among team members; provides technical assistance and guidance on GSA supply programs and services.
Independently resolves complex transportation logistics problems.
Monitors transportation management and business processing functions associated with export operations.
Conducts and maintains close liaison with all branches of the military and various vendors for determining transportation documentation requirements and carrier transportation capabilities are performed timely in order to meet organizational goals.
Evaluates center performance in order to improve service delivery, program performance, and customer satisfaction.
Provides supply support for FAS customers in the Pacific Northwest Region.
Reviews and processes customer's requisitions for assigned Region 2 commodities products for stock and non-stock National Stock Numbers (NSN).

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience successfully managing or performing studies and analyses of transportation management programs and functions to determine efficient and effective use of carrier services.
