Industrial Staffing Services Inc. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- Ambulnz in New York, New York

The position will be administering vaccinations to NYC's homeless community across the 5 boroughs.

We are currently being asked to provide NP's and PA's.

The Mobile hub/SHOW Van they are assigned to will Will their hub mobile unit will be stationary for the day. The roving teams will have a base at one of the SHOW vehicles and will be roving from that base site each day. The SHOW locations change every 2 weeks to locations determined by the client.

The workers will be partnered up with resources and other service providers to support the vaccination effort at local homeless shelters Tuesday - Saturday from 10:30 am to 7pm.

There will be 1-2 security staff with each mobile unit, unarmed plain clothes

Team is comprised of 1 NP/PA, 1 Paramedic, 1 Social Worker

Duration of this project is expected to last 1 year, possibly longer

Interview process: Virtual Zoom interview with the project management team

Onboarding:Must submit to a background check and drug test.

You must be comfortable working outdoors with the homeless population.

Homeless New Yorkers will be invited in for care and COVID-19 services, no appointments necessary. Patients will also be assessed for other care needed, including wound care, mental health screening, and harm reduction services. Mobile units will typically be in a single location for two weeks. The mobile units will use the Johnson &Johnson vaccine, which requires only one dose. Each van will accommodate one patient at a time, with tents posted outside to allow more room for the required 15-minute observation period after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides clinical and operational support in conjunction with the team's paramedic around the following areas.

Covid-19 Testing (both PCR and Rapid), Covid-19 Vaccination (Johnson & Johnson), Hepatitis A Vaccination (single shot), Wound Care (including antibiotics), Basic Evaluation of Symptoms or Health concerns
