Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include assisting nurses in the provision of nursing care to surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practices and policies of the hospital and the Nursing Department. Anticipate, assist, and assemble necessary supplies and equipment required for the surgical procedure. One year Surgical Technologist Program required; Certification of Surgical Technology (CST) required. Current BCLS/CPR certification required. High school diploma or GED required. Hospital or ambulatory surgery related experience preferred. Ophthalmology, Plastics, and ENT experience also preferred.
