Precious Metal/Money Market Assistant Manager, HSBC Bank USA, N.A., New York, NY.

Daily monitoring of Precious Metals and Money Market Operations team functions to evaluate and examine compliance with applicable finance regulations. Coordinate efforts associated with the preparation of regulatory documents or submissions. Assist in the facilitation of various team tactical and strategic projects, with focus on successful and timely delivery while mitigating risk for our Businesses. Assist in the preparation of additional information or responses as requested by regulatory agencies. Exercise superior client service through daily professional phone and email communications with internal/external clients. Ensure all processing issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner and adhere to all regulatory and internal controls to minimize risk to the bank. As required for coverage purposes, provide representation on conference calls and meetings and review or authorize the teams settlements, confirmations, invoices, etc. Support IT projects and new business objectives testing to ensure they are implemented on schedule with no issues.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience.

Qualifying experience must include:

• Operational risk scenarios and conditions

• Liaising with applicable exchanges including a combination of CME, Chicago Exchange, ICE, LBMA.

• Processing trade confirmations and settle transactions for Money Market and Precious Metals Trading desks

• Post trade processing including reconciliation of systems and accounts

• ETF creation and redemption including allocations and deallocations of physical metal for share settlement

• System testing in precious metals, base metals and confirmation matching systems
