Aerotek Project Engineer in New York, New York

Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and support services relating to the District’s Cowlitz Falls Hydroelectric Project and Mill Creek Hydroelectric Project in Washington State. These projects range from large to small capital improvements located throughout the facility, recreational areas, and wildlife areas. You will review, evaluate, design, and develop engineering changes to civil, mechanical, and electrical projects. This position will also report on the status of project milestones, monitor progress, and adjust schedules accordingly. Other duties include calculations, engineering studies, alternative project recommendations, contract development, and writing specifications and drawing development.

Relocation assistance provided, opportunity for long term employment in Washington State.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Required Skills

  • BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering. Emphasis in industrial or power systems preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, or operation and maintenance of hydroelectric dams or other power plants.

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of mathematics, drafting, surveying, engineering, and project management fundamentals.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural drawings, principles and practices pertaining to hydroelectric plants

  • Professional Engineering License
