Overview Reporting to the Global Head of Supervisory Affairs for ICRM, this Regulatory Engagement Head position will work collaboratively with Regional and Global ICRM Function Heads to assist in enabling the strategy for mitigating regulatory risk and complying with regulatory remediation activities, ongoing supervision and exam management. This role engages across Citi Businesses and Global Functions (including Legal, Independent Compliance Risk Management, Independent Risk Management, and Internal Audit) to design and implement high quality repeatable reporting and interaction routines. The position also drives the development and implementation of common standards, procedures and governance processes to create and maintain consistent and best in class regulatory interactions and communications protocols. Key activities include developing an ICRM wide structure for regulatory interactions and communications and ensuring this structure is monitored and followed consistently across all types of regulatory interactions (recurring and ad-hoc), ongoing supervision and exam management. In addition, this role is accountable for assisting in the development of regulatory communications and regulatory exam coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of an ICRM regulatory interactions oversight structure to drive consistent and clear communications and reporting in key regulatory forums and updates. Define and establish policies and procedures to standardize the global execution of regulatory interactions. Drive implementation and maintain the use of standardized tools and templates in the global execution of regulatory interactions. Define and implement escalation criteria and practices to ensure issues and risks are escalated timely and reporting to the regulators occurs appropriately, consistently and at the right levels. Identify opportunities and lead implementations of software solutions to track and manage global regulatory interactions as well as key performance and risk/control metrics of issues to avoid redundancy or inaccuracies in data capture or reporting. Oversight on regular monitoring routines across the ICRM organization globally to ensure consistency and compliance with the regulatory interactions oversight policies and procedures. Partner with Risk, IA and Legal, as well as other Citi sectors (where appropriate for firm wide examinations) to ensure consistency and compliance with the regulatory interactions oversight policies and procedures. Design and drive development dashboards and reports for senior management and providing regular status updates on progress. Define agenda and own the development strawman presentation materials to be leveraged by ICRM participants in regulatory meetings, in order to ensure consistency of messaging. Create process to ensure all final materials being used are reviewed prior to sending to the regulators. Partner with the ICRM Supervisory Affairs team and particularly the ICRM Global Head for Supervisory Affairs in the development of materials, presentations and updates Drive the ICRM Supervisory Affairs team in developing and executing strategic and best practice initiatives in regulatory interactions. Direct support to ICRM Global Head for Supervisory Affairs in drafting Response Letters. For ICRM horizontal examinations, directly manage examination deliverable management (e.g. receipt, assignment, production), facilitate examination meeting schedules (e.g. Opening, Deep Dive, Status, and Closing meetings). Education: Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred or relevant, equivalent experience. Preference for post graduate degree and/or recognized professional qualifications where applicable.
