Research Assistant I
Full-Time
Position Overview:
Research assistant (RA) position involves both clinical and research responsibilities. RA is responsible for seeing all patients at their preoperative visit prior to surgery. During these visits, you collect preoperative data, take preoperative clinical photos and videos, and relay any relevant information to the PAs or attending surgeons. You will also be responsible for seeing some patients at follow up visits to collect postoperative data and take postoperative photos. The research side of the position involves updating and maintaining the practice’s research database, retrospectively collecting and analyzing data for research studies, and writing/assisting in the publication of literature. Your week-to-week responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the attending surgeons, fellows, and PAs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Clinical research experience preferred
Facility with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Endnote
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong time management, and organizational skills
Ability to use tact, discretion, and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information
