Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties for this position will require the experience and knowledge of performing NYSDOT Highway & Bridge Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) duties including construction inspection, and the understanding construction project administration methods and processes.

This person will perform field inspection, material testing, and documentation along with other tasks.

This individual must have the ability to read and interpret and enforce construction plans, specifications, and other contract documents, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Work will be performed in NYC five boroughs.

Required Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years of transportation construction experience required. Eight (8) years or more preferred.

NY State Department of Transportation experience a plus.

A current NICET Highway / Bridge Construction Certification, Level III (or NICET III Equivalent) is required.

High School diploma required. Technical school or college degree beneficial. MS Office (Word/Excel/ Outlook) skills required. The knowledge of Site Manager a plus.

Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nighttime work may be required.

This position requires successfully passing pre employment drug-screening procedures and is thereafter subject to random and for cause drug and alcohol testing. HDR is a drug and alcohol free environment. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
