Job Summary:

Urban Engineers of New York, D.P.C. is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for performing special inspections on NYC facility construction projects for EDC, CUNY and private developers.

Special Inspector Responsibilities:

• Perform or witness concrete, masonry, steel bolting, post installed anchors and other activities on New York City construction projects, such as mid to high rise buildings, industrial, commercial, public, academic, and healthcare facilities.• Prepare and submit reports of inspection activities • File documentation and complete required technical report forms in accordance with the IBC

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred• At least 2 years of relevant experience as a construction or special inspector on progressively complex building/facility projects.• Candidate should have the following certifications and/or be able to obtain them within three (3) months of hire:

o ICC Certification Masonryo ACI Special Inspectoro ICC Certification for Steel Bolting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
