Citigroup SVP, Enterprise Concentration Risk and Risk Identification Governance in New York, New York

Responsible for comprehensive risk identification and concentration risk management across Citi businesses and functions. ECRM and Risk Identification Governance includes design and oversight for the comprehensive frameworks, policies and governance, and integration with other strategic frameworks and processes.

The individual will be responsible for contributing to a fundamental design and development of Risk Identification Governance as well as oversight of the final framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a lead to drive fundamental up grade of Risk Identification frameworks including policy, procedures, process and governance. This will be aligned to the larger transformation efforts

  • Gain strong understanding of the regulatory guidance and Citi’s internal frameworks for development and alignment of Risk Identification approaches

  • Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects

  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal constituencies.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members

  • Ensure risk identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting processes across all lines of defense are aligned to the framework requirements

  • Establish and enhance explicit ECRM and Risk Identification linkages to other strategic frameworks such as risk appetite, CCAR etc.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk management or closely related areas

  • Ability to influence the organization and to affect change up to the most senior levels. Efficiently solves complex, ambiguous problems/situations.

  • Problem solving skills, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation.

  • Creativity; thinks outside the box and above and beyond conventional wisdom.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies.

  • Displays a leadership presence; commands respect and will earn trust of senior leaders.

  • Good understanding of banking products and environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
