In connection with BSA/AML and OFAC

+

Assisting in the implementation and administration of the BSA/AML compliance program

  • Monitor compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to banks and broker-dealers.

  • Track and conduct analysis of new regulations, regulatory guidance and other industry developmentsto determine applicability to the business and implement responsive compliance measures.

  • Identify suspicious activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing and illegal activities.

  • Update and maintain policies/program/procedures.

  • Conduct annual risk assessments.

  • Document BSA/AML/OFAC related risks for new products and services and develop controls for the launch of those products and services.

  • Conduct quality assurance on support areas functions to evidence compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Develop, maintain and deliver tailored training modules on BSA/AML compliance topics.

  • Participate on projects and initiatives to enhance the BSA/AML/OFAC programs and automate processes.

  • Respond to, track and resolve BSA/AML related inquiries and concerns.

  • Prepare and deliver reports to Head Office, US level and local committees and management.

  • Assist during the examinations and audits conducted by the regulatory authorities and external and internal auditors.

  • Participate in industry forums to enhance compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 10years experience as a BSA/AML compliance officer at a US bank or broker-dealer.

  • Four-year college degree required, and completion of a graduate degree preferred

  • Expertise in BSA/AML matters and Sanctions compliance

  • Expertise in financial products, services, and bank or broker-dealer operations.

  • Experience working with regulatory federal and state agencies.

  • Knowledge in risk identification, risk assessment, controls development, training, monitoring and reporting. Has a core grasp of project management and is able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Access products
