Mobile Health Xray Technician (Manhattan) in New York, New York

Mobile Health is a B2B occupational healthcare organization that utilizes technology solutions and customer service to fuel its growth. Mobile Health owns and operates six facilities in New York City and is a leading provider of employee screening services, providing over 150,000 drug screens and related physical exams each year. We specialize in servicing the healthcare industry, and regularly market to home care agencies and medical staffing firms. Mobile Health clients also have access to a growing network of 60+ facilities throughout the Northeast for employee screening services.

Essential Functions:

The X-Ray Technician is responsible for the provision of all radiology services, maintenance of the x-ray equipment, and keeping appropriate records for quality assurance.

•Operate and maintain x-ray machines; prepare patients for x-ray procedures

•Monitor all radiographic supplies and submit purchasing requests to maintain proper supply levels

•Explains procedures to patients and answering questions

•Prepares equipment for use as needed

•Prepares examination rooms for patient exams

•Positions patients for imaging exams

•Monitors patients during exams

•Documents information with computers

•Reports important information to the medical providers

•Ensures safety of patients during exams

•Produces diagnostic images of soft tissues

•Follows procedures that prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation to themselves, as well as to the patient takes medical histories

•Ensure copies of x-ray film release forms, consent forms for the performance of the x-ray and the authorization to release information

•Conduct quarterly, semi-annual and annual calibration reports on the equipment.

•Maintains the confidentiality of all Personal Health Information as dictated by HIPAA laws

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degre in Radiology (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Must possess valid ARRT certification

  • Valid and Current Radiologic Technologist license

  • 2+ years experience in a clinical care setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with the use of electronic medical record system or strong database management skills

  • Awareness of the needs of diverse multicultural populations.

  • Ability to multi-task, workin an fast-paced environment and be flexible enough to handle the challenges.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
