Maintenance Manager Needed in Newark, NY

Kelly is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to perform minor repairs to the building, the facilities, and service equipment. The Manager will also be responsible for overseeing 3-4 mechanics and providing direction regarding maintenance work.

  • This is a Monday-Friday position, with the hours 6:00AM-2:30PM

  • Note: On call 24/7 as a maintenance resource

  • Pay rate is between $31 and $35/hour

  • This is a Direct Hire position

  • Applicants should have years of experience and knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical

  • PLC experience a plus!

Essential Functions

  • Support of the Quality Management System

  • Maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery. Must understand mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and material handling equipment and systems. Research, plan, design, and propose the same

  • Schedule work for entire maintenance staff

  • Responsible for inventory of repair supplies and materials.

  • Perform minor repairs to building and building services such as lighting, piping systems, plumbing, HVAC and drain systems.

  • Design and direct installation, modification and repair of plant systems

  • Technical resource for all equipment in the facility

  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment and implement solutions

  • Make recommendations for improvements to the facility and equipment

  • Coordinate projects for dismantling, overhauling, and assembling of equipment and machinery.

  • Direct, coordinate, and participate in activities involved in fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, debug, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems

  • Design and direct installation, modification and repair of plant systems

  • Schedule preventative maintenance in accordance with ISO9001 compliant Quality System

  • Operate powered shop equipment following all safety guidelines

  • Work with Department Operations Teams to make improvements to existing processes or implement new ones

  • Maintain records in database

  • On call 24/7 as a maintenance resource

  • Responsible for notification of correction of unsafe working conditions

  • Perform housekeeping duties in accordance with established housekeeping and safety procedures.
