U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command Test Score Technician in Niagara County, New York

Summary

About the Position: This is a Test Score Technician position with the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Station. This position operates within the Testing section of the MEPS to ensure that applicants' test scores are valid and processed in a timely manner in accordance with DoD and USMEPCOM policies and procedures for the DoD Military Personnel Testing Program.

Responsibilities

Make recommendations to the test control officer on testing policy and procedures.

Investigate incidents of test loss/compromise to ensure integrity has not been jeopardized.

Ensure test scores given are committed to the databases in order for all recruiting service applicants to process for enlistment.

Interview applicants whose test scores require a confirmation test to ensure scores represent applicant?s aptitude.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing information to customers on various services; 2) Performing quality control of materials; AND 3) Using automated systems for data entry. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
