  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • At least 1-year experience working in assisted living facility assisting residents with daily living activities.

  • Certification as a HHA or PCA is not required but can be helpful.

The Resident Care Assistant has the following responsibilities:

  • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living at all levels including Assisted, Enhanced, and Special Needs Levels of Care.

  • Prepares and maintain documentation/records of services performed.

  • Performs light housekeeping duties: trash removal, laundry, bed making, etc.

  • Consults/reports to nurse supervisor Resident’s needs and any changes in Resident’s status.

  • Attends and participates in any mandatory meetings, in-services and additional training.

  • Assists the LPN Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and/or Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident care services, in accordance with the current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Community.

  • Weighs and measures residents as instructed.

  • Assists with dining service during mealtime.
