Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
At least 1-year experience working in assisted living facility assisting residents with daily living activities.
Certification as a HHA or PCA is not required but can be helpful.
The Resident Care Assistant has the following responsibilities:
Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living at all levels including Assisted, Enhanced, and Special Needs Levels of Care.
Prepares and maintain documentation/records of services performed.
Performs light housekeeping duties: trash removal, laundry, bed making, etc.
Consults/reports to nurse supervisor Resident’s needs and any changes in Resident’s status.
Attends and participates in any mandatory meetings, in-services and additional training.
Assists the LPN Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and/or Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident care services, in accordance with the current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Community.
Weighs and measures residents as instructed.
Assists with dining service during mealtime.
