St. Charles is renowned for its outstanding customer service and scored as one of the top hospitals on Long Island in the delivery of high quality care.The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing hospital wide cleaning duties per established policies and procedures as assigned.Responsibilities:Practice efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools.Perform all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisorPerform related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.Maintain high standards; works steadily at efficient pace; achieves high QA scoreAssist other associates as necessary.Responds to direction as provided.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED or 5+ years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is requiredMust be detail oriented with excellent customer service skillsOne to two years of housekeeping or service worker experience is preferredMust be available to work every other weekendAbility to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
