Key Responsibilities

Leads the Vendor Compliance team in working with vendor partners to:

  • Improve on-time delivery performance on shipments to Global DCs and direct shipments to customers

  • Reduce overall lead time and increase % of same-day-shipping item offering

  • Reduce non-compliant freight spend and accessorial charges as a result of vendor behavior

  • Increase EDI/automation between Global and our suppliers

  • Improve delivery quality including but not limited to:

    Pallet quality – height, stability Barcode accuracy Packaging integrity Right item, right UOM, right destination

  • Develops analytics around supplier performance, cost savings from initiatives, etc.

  • Meets with Product Managers regularly to discuss and resolve supplier issues

  • Leads meetings with suppliers (frequency dependent on performance) to highlight performance trends, identify collaborative opportunities to improve results, set deadlines for improvement and track progress

  • Manage the process for recovering cost from the supplier for poor scorecard performance and/or lack of commitment to improvement with financial targets for compliance fine recovery and operational improvements

  • Track and report results to the executive leadership team including action plans for supplier improvements, cost savings from operational efficiency gained and recovered compliance dollars from suppliers

  • Continuously enhance, improve, and systematize the Supplier Compliance program and scorecard

  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Competencies and skills

• Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent experience is required • 7+ years in Supply Chain/Finance including leadership roles in Purchasing, DC Ops, FP&A, or Transportation/Logistics • Experience effectively managing supplier relationships, cost negotiations • Fluent in vendor agreements/contracts • Previous development/implementation/execution of a new or existing Supplier Compliance or Quality program • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office is required • Excellent organizational and planning skills are required • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required
