An extension of Unity Hospital, our short-term rehab center is a 40-bed unit focusing on treatment and rehabilitation following hospitalization. We offer the acute care our patients require for their recovery without being in a hospital setting.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing Services, your organization and leadership skills guide you in developing and maintaining the Nursing department philosophy and culture of care. Your ability to manage multiple programs, while delivering superior customer service makes you a valuable asset to our team.

STATUS:Full Time

LOCATION:Park Ridge Living Center



  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in chronic care nursing, including three (3) years of leadership experience in a nursing home setting

  • One (1) year of experience in acute or post-acute care preferred

  • Compassionate, kind and patient focused

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • Program & Budget Management.Maintain knowledge of Medicare eligibility requirements and provide assistance in the decision making of admission and continued coverage; develop the annual department budget; assists in monitoring and controlling budget variances; assure compliance with charting requirements in the electronic medical record

  • Staffing.Provide direct oversight of the staff and Nursing Supervisors; maintain Master Nurse Staffing Plan; balance elder needs and nursing skill to assure compliance; oversee the hiring of new employees; facilitate the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies

  • Policies & Procedures.Work on the development and dissemination of nursing policies and procedures; monitor incident reports and analyze patterns; collaborate to handle elder, patient, resident and family complaints

  • Leadership.Oversee the development of the Nursing department goals; provide leadership in the development and implementation of processes for an interdisciplinary approach to elder care planning and service


EDUCATIONAS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSBLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA); RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Clinical Ladder

Nurses who advance on our clinical ladder receive a promotion at the bedside through growth in their skillset, a new title and monetary recognition up to $3.00/hour

Rapid Pay Increases

Receive rapid pay increases every six months during the first two years of employment, and annual increases thereafter.

Unlimited Certifications

Nurses earn up to an additional $1.00/hour for each certification earned plus a $1,000 bonus for the first certification earned, and $500 for the second certification.
