Job Responsibilities:

Assistant Project Manager-Energy Services

This position will provide project support for all aspects of the DDS Energy Services construction group. This position will be responsible for assisting with projects located throughout New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio and will be based in Rochester, NY.

This position will be required to perform the following functions:

  • Promote safety – assist with the implementation of all applicable HSE programs, policies and procedures

  • Work to help execute project Quality program

  • Facilitate operational components of project with PM and Project Superintendent

  • Understand the terms and scope of the contracts as it applied to the project

  • Help facilitate subcontractor activities under direct supervision

  • Assist with tracking of material, production and project costs and provide documentation to PM

  • Assist PM with correspondence and reporting to clients and federal/state agencies

  • Maintain project schedule tracking for PM

  • Attend construction related meetings to support project related functions

  • Basic estimating, take-offs, solicit quotes

  • Assist PM with bid submittal packages

  • Invoicing clients and preparing change order documentation/costing

  • Provide onsite administrative support activities

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Minimum 2 years prior project coordination/project management experience in a construction setting

  • Must be able to multi task, possess strong attention to detail, manage tight deadlines and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Office and estimating and/or job costing software

  • Flexibility to travel to project sites throughout the region requiring overnights

Preferred

  • Prior experience in Oil & Gas related construction

  • Associates degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

  • Able to speak and understand Spanish
