LOCATION:Unity Hospital Critical Care Medicine

DEPARTMENT:Non-Invasive Cardiology



  • Cardiology Technician training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CCT/Rhythm recognition/telemetry experience preferred.

  • Previous supervisory experience. ​


  • Approves final daily and weekly schedules, work assignments and PTO requests.

  • Ensures standardization of department protocols, including staff orientation, training and inservices.

  • Communicates effectively with administration, staff, physicians, patients and other customers to address and convey situations in a timely and compassionate manner in accordance with Unity Brand Promise.

  • Works closely with Director, Cardiology Clinical Leaders and staff around problem resolution, prioritizing, and training.

  • Supervises all cardiology technician processes ensuring adherence to all UHS, JCAHO, NYS DOH and department HIPAA guidelines.

  • Manages day-to-day operations of functional group.

  • Manages equipment maintenance and report through Clinical Engineering Department.

  • Performs all other duties of Cardiology Technician as required per Cardiology Technician job descriptions. ​

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSM - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
