Perform plumbing duties, as required, to install and repair air, gas, nitrogen, steam, water lines, fire protection etc., including conformance to specification and applicable codes.
Perform duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of the facility.
Must be motivated to work independently and work well in a team environment.
Demonstrate good workmanship, attention to detail is critical.
Maintain and install plumbing systems within the facility using copper, iron, plastic, and steel pipe, etc.
Respond to written/verbal trouble calls from building tenants.
Perform operations to complete assigned jobs per blueprints, sketches or written/verbal orders.
Cut and thread pipe, as required.
Determine and prepare requisitions for materials and replacement parts.
Collect and maintain data and records, as required.
Assist Engineering/supervision in obtaining cost estimates.
Observe company safety rules and regulations, practice good housekeeping, maintain company quality and performance standards.
Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor.
Maintain licenses & certificates required for position.
Considerable overtime required.
Requires the understanding of complicated drawings, schematics and sketches.
High School or GED
3 to 5 years of plumbing trade experience or equivalent AAS degree.
Read, write and speak English.
Requires the use of complicated drawings and a wide variety of measuring equipment.
Use of personal computer.
Backflow preventer technician certification a plus.
A wide variety of plumbing hand and power tools. Threading machine, plastic pipe joining machine, power snakes, ladders and torches.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Inside / outside work, temperature extremes, confined space entry.
Other Personal Protective Equipment needed: Gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection and Safety Shoes
