ESL Federal Credit Union System & Technology Project Manager in Rochester, New York
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.
This position manages, leads and guides key business business initiatives utilizing ESL’s standard project management methodology. This position is also responsible for portfolio management of technology projects as well as the continual upgrades of the financial core platform.
Manages medium to large scale, local and corporate technology projects including the annual DNA core upgrades and large technology infrastructure projects using a consistent methodology to coordinate activities, schedule resources, and ensure completion within scope and budget.
Ensures that a strong partnership exists with internal business units:
Responsible for effective client interactions that result in a high degree of client satisfaction
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills
Provide a high degree of accessibility to the technology and business unit clients
Manage and maintain the S&T Systems Project Portfolio.
Monthly S&T Portfolio reviews with the infrastructure managers and CIO
Maintain the S&T Systems dashboard
Assist the Project Management Office Manager to continually enhance and improve the ESL Project Management methodology
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of directly related experience
Minimum 5 years project management experience (includes managing cross functional teams)
Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with engineering teams
Agile Project Management and experience in migrating teams from Waterfall to Agile
In-depth understanding of effective project management principles and processes
Effective written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization
Excellent leadership and team building skills
Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Experience with continuous Integration and Deploy (CICD) preferred
Experience working with and assisting teams as they transition into a DevOps environment preferred
PMP Certification preferred
Experience managing technology implementations preferred
Knowledge of banking products and services preferred
