MSI Injection Molding Technician in Rome, New York

Description: MSI is seeking BOTH entry-level and experienced Plastic Injection Molding Technicians at its Rome, NY facility. Successful entry-level candidates must have interest in learning to operate, injection molding machines and related duties. All candidates will be required to adhere to MSI's strict safety and product quality standards.
*Participate in various aspects of the injection molding process including, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow.
*Work with supervisors, operators and engineers to ensure molded components meet quality and production scheduling requirements, making adjustments as required.
*When necessary, interface with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures.
*Following and/or establish procedures in order to maintain a safe, clean and organized environment. Perform mold validations.
*Learn to safely handle, mix and measure raw production materials.
*Perform general operation work under directions of Supervisor and perform other assignments as requested.
*Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

*High school diploma with minimum of 2-3 years experience in an injection molding technician role.
*Safety minded.
*Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with employees, etc. *High aptitude to learn.
*Verbal and written understanding of English
*Dependable, with strong work ethic.
*Attributes: Diligent, dedicated, meticulous & self-motivated.
*US citizen or permanent resident.

Physical Requirements:
*Must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days/wk. *Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and arms to spaces both high and low. *The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting, holding or stooping while on the shift. *Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly as needed with or without assistance *Full-time /1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm - occasional overtime.
