Medical Records Clerk – Saratoga Cardiology - FT

What you will do:

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the release of Information for personal, medical, legal and insurance purposes.


  • Provide records for subpoenas in a timely manner.

  • Review medical records of expired patients to determine notification of coroner, if appropriate, process autopsy requests and obtain a signed death certificate.

  • Performs ongoing auditing of incomplete records.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.

  • Data entry of ambulatory surgery cases, congenital anomaly and clinical documentation tracking systems.

  • Update deficiencies in tracking system for inpatient and outpatient records.

  • Files transcribed reports in records and updates deficiencies.

  • Enter deficiencies for records as needed.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma

  • Six months to one year medical record experience preferred.

  • Two years clerical experience in other office environment accepted.

  • Candidate should have excellent communication skills.

  • Orientation to accuracy and details required.

  • Basic computer skills.
