Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of full time Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator. The football program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.
Responsibilities include assisting head coach in all aspects of a highly competitive Division III football program, including but not limited to: coordinating offensive unit, coaching offensive line, recruiting, student-athlete development, ensuring academic success of student-athletes, practice and game planning, management of staff, rules and compliance. Additional responsibilities include a secondary assignment within the athletics department, as well as other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree strongly preferred. Evidence of at least two years successful college football coaching experience required; Offensive line coaching experience required, offensive coordinator experience preferred; demonstrated ability to recruit quality student-athletes; strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Candidates must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. Candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
