High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Must be able to perform basic maintenance of machinery.
Requires some heavy lifting.
Current New York State driver's license required.
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with employees, students, supervisors, and the general public.
2-3 years of experience in grounds, custodial and/or maintenance preferred.
3 years progressive ice arena operations experience preferred.
Ice Resurfacer driving experience preferred.
Experience in facility management and STAR Rink Operations certificate is preferred.
Engine repair experience preferred.
Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics and facilities to maintain and manage the operations of a comprehensive rink facility and all athletic facilities.
Perform custodian services.
Conduct ice installation, maintenance and resurfacing.
Perform event management and program management duties.
Operate and maintain mechanical machinery of rink and all athletic facilities.
Complete day to day operations of the athletic facilities.
Assist with programming activities including including skate sharpening, and equipment repair.
