**Description**: Depending on the department to which the employee is assigned, employee may receive incoming freight or parts, verify the count, and mark or report any damage to materials. Responsible for the prompt and proper storage and issue of finished or semi-finished parts and materials. Receive requests for store issues and bills of material and check those requiring special attention. Identify and tag materials. Maintain stock bin location files for pump parts. Collect parts for individual repair orders and assign to special bins/locations. Notify supervisor of part shortages to create orders. Keep records and compile stock reports. Follow department specific work instructions. Operate trucks as required and perform miscellaneous work as assigned.
**Tasks**:• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.• Move heavy items with material handling equipment such as fork truck.• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, stock rooms, or other areas.• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage per procedures.• Receive and count stock items, record data manually or using computer.• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.• May train new employees.• Follow relevant work instructions and/or SOP.• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
