Aerotek Industrial Engineer in Sherrill, New York

Aerotek is currently looking to hire an Industrial Engineer for a well-known manufacturing company in Sherrill, NY. This candidate will be in charge of all Kaizen Continuous Improvement and will work alongside the Manufacturing and Quality Engineers. Pay varies based on experience level.

Industrial Engineer (6 month contract to hire)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for continuously optimizing direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow through the use of industrial engineering methods

  • Handles Kaizen events

  • Line balancing, time studies, in-plant and external material flow

  • Designs and implements optimal station layouts that support the operator

  • Drives towards sustainable solutions

  • Supports safety performance of the manufacturing area through the design of ergonomic solutions for the different operations as well as for material handling

  • Understands NIOSH guidelines

  • Drives plan for every part approach to new product launches

  • Understands strategy deployment

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Industrial Engineer/Mechanical Engineer or related

  • 3-5 years of Experience working in industrial/quality/manufacturing roles

  • Knowledge and Experience with Flow Diagrams & Time Studies

  • Kaizen Experience
