Maintenance Worker - Sunnyview Hospital - Full Time Rotating

The goal of Maintenance worker is performing, maintaining, repairing, and operating facilities grounds equipment and fixtures, such as: heating, cooling, plumbing, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, communications equipment, carpentry, painting, laminating, laundry and kitchen equipment, fire systems and receiving at all SPARC and Community Site facilities. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team.

  • Responsible for maintaining, servicing, and operating all facility equipment and fixtures.

  • Assists in maintaining the overall working condition and appearance of building and grounds of facility while maintaining a safe environment

  • Conducts processes and procedures for receiving of material and goods in a manner that ensure accurate and efficient recording and delivery of items to all SPARC and Community site facilities

  • Familiarity with and responds to emergencies and drills as assigned in the Emergency Disaster Plan. Responsible for knowing the Facility Fire and Disaster Plan

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in maintenance

  • High School graduate, G.E.D. or job related education

  • Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6’th grade level. Follow written and verbal instructions and complete high school level computational skills.

  • Valid and clean NYS driver's license
