Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) has openings for Field Service Technician with background in aerial, construction equipment, and heavy & medium duty trucks.

You will determine and perform needed assessment, diagnosis, replacement and repair of the equipment we rent, sell and customer units with minimal oversight.

• You will be provided a company truck, computer, phone, work independently and have support CTOS Syracuse shop.

Duties and Responsibilities

• You will work on bucket trucks, digger derricks, track machines and more.

• You will use Cummins Insite Scan tool for diagnostics.

• A strong background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.

• Major repairs are completed at the Syracuse regional office.

• Troubleshoot and repair all diesel equipment including all truck brands, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Ford, GM, International, Mack, Boom / Bucket Trucks, Cranes, Construction and more.

• Provide repair and maintenance to diesel engines and hydraulic systems

• Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems of diesel equipment

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.

• Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment

• Maintain truck parts inventory.

• Complete all necessary paperwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus

• 5 years plus of mechanic service experience in the equipment rental / construction industry and/or related field

• Knowledge of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment

• Class A or B license a plus and a driving record in good standing.
