Job Summary:The Patient Relations Coordinator is responsible for working with patients, their families/designees, Hospital Staff, and/or other internal/external customers to coordinate, investigate, and resolve issues and/or concerns related to quality of care, services and communication, as well as promoting continuous improvement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing appropriate and timely responses, as well as trending complaint subject matter and regularly communicating findings to Hospital leadership and expanding Patient Relations presence to underserved Health System service areas, such as Outpatient/Ambulatory, Cancer Center, Inpatient Psychiatry, and Inpatient Pediatrics, and increasing Patient Relations participation with Emergency Management exercises and Incident Command activations. The Patient Relations Coordinator supports service recovery and patient satisfaction including but not limited to processing lost and found issues, staff education on customer service program initiatives and supports monthly customer service bulletin board updates, Engaging in Excellence monthly newsletter, and the Patient Relations website.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Business, health related field, or similar discipline and two years progressively responsible administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent organizational, oral/written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with policy development, reading medical records, knowledge of HIPPA and ADA regulations in a health care environment strongly desired. Working experience in patient relations, clinical and/or customer service environment preferred.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday. 8 am- 4:30 pm
