Regeneron Pharmaceuticals R&D Associate (Muscle & Metabolism) in Tarrytown, New York

The Muscle and Metabolism group is looking for an R&D Associate to join the team. The candidate will be involved in research projects aiming at developing therapeutics to treat metabolic diseases. The candidate is expected to perform mouse tissue sectioning and immunostaining experiments, as well a wide range of cell and molecular biology experiments; such as cell culture, western blot, and ELISA.

As an R&D Associate, a typical day may include the following:

  • Perform immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence staining of mouse tissues

  • Perform in vitro and ex vivo experiments, analyze data, record results in electronic notebooks, and generate study reports.

  • Perform bioanalytical assays to support in vivo studies, including ELISA and western blots.

This role may be for you if:

  • You possess good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple experiments

  • You are highly motivated candidate with strong research background

To be considered for this position, you must have a BS/MS strong background in cell and molecular biology, minimum 3 years of experience working in a lab, and have experience in:

  • Tissue sectioning, staining and microscopy

  • DNA/RNA extraction from cells and animal tissues

  • SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, ELISA

  • Mammalian cell culture

Proficient with commonly used software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, GraphPad).
